Strata refers to layers or levels, often used in geological context to describe layers of rock or soil. Inspired by the geology and natural beauty of Minnesota, using the earth’s layers as a metaphor for strength, renewal, and growth, much like the city of Minneapolis, which has continuously evolved through resilience and transformation. Drawing from the state’s diverse landscapes, including rocky outcrops, lakes, forests, and prairies, this design incorporates natural materials, rich textures, and organic forms to create a serene yet sophisticated environment. Strata highlights the connection between nature and craftsmanship, reflecting both the depth of Minnesota’s landscape and the city’s history of innovation and progress.
